Josef Gingold (1909-1995) devoted his life to the art of the violin. His varied and fulfilling career is a model of achievement for which his students strive. In 1982, Gingold founded the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, established its repertory, chose the jurors, and shaped its protocol - setting the standard for future competitions worldwide. This competition and the students with whom he worked are his legacy and this exhibit will honor his life-long labor of love.
